Auntie Kay is a kangaroo on a mission! She wants to give Evan and Bella the tools they need in life to manage. but practical Evan and inquisitive Bella are two simple kids who just want to play and have fun.
Auntie Kay is helping Evan and Bella learn to make good decisions leading to independent behaviors. Building on the principle, that as children learn to be faithful with little, they will eventually learn how to be faithful with much, she provides step by step instruction and thoughtful guidance to help Evan and Bella develop the habits necessary to take care of and manage fundamental resources such as time, money and more.
Two themes of diversity are represented in the characters; heritage and physical. Heritage diversity is expressed by the common ancestry of the Marsupial group. Creating the characters using a Kangaroo, Koala and Tasmanian Devil allowed me to reflect family diversification. Physical diversity is demonstrated in Evan and Bella’s body portrayal. Bella’s upper lip line on the philtrum is a-symmetrical and Evan’s ears are slightly different in size; celebrating the many physical differences in life.

Bella is created in loving tribute to my daughter and all individuals born with a maxillofacial or cranial birth defect. .
